Jubilant June and a Happy 4th of July!

Hey, everyone! Happy 4th of July to all my fellow Americans back home! It's been a whole month since my last update, so let's get right into the details!

Thank you all so much for the happy birthday's and well wishes! It warms my heart to read your kind messages all the way over here! Gary and Naoko's son, Kai, has his birthday a week from my own, so for our birthday party, I cooked carne asada tacos for my entire team! It was the first time everyone was at my house, so I wanted to make something special from North America. It was the real deal: marinated beef, corn tortillas, cilantro, and the works! I couldn't have done it without my wonderful girlfriend, Misako, helping with all the prep-work! She's so wonderful!

DTS planning is well underway. Basically, the school is divided into 12 weeks, each one covering a different topic, such as "Nature and Character of God", "Spiritual Warfare", "Evangelism", etc. Each topic has one teacher who covers the subject in our class for the entire week, so we require twelve qualified teachers. We only need four more, so please pray that God will call the right person to teach at our little DTS. We're now at seven students! Please keep praying more will come from all over the world to attend DTS in Sendai!

Speaking of, there is a DTS staff event coming up in August. It's basically meeting and training with other DTS staff in Asia, and was recommended to me by Virmz and Gary, seeing how this is my first DTS rodeo. It's about $500 to fly to Singapore, and $150 to attend, but I do believe this would be a wonderful opportunity to connect with other DTS staff, and learn how to be the best DTS leader I can be. If you are interested in helping me, please prayerfully consider making a donation toward this trip. Thank you.

Speaking of events, there is finally a YWAM Japan convention happing in October in Hokkaido! The last one was all the way back in 2019, in which some of you may remember this gem I made to introduce our team:

Oh boy. Memories... Not sure if we'll make something this silly again, but I hope so! More details to follow as the event draws closer!

Overall, life goes on: park ministry serving the homeless, learning Japanese, helping with English Conversations with my church Mustard Seed, and hanging out with the lovely Misako. Thank you all so much for your continued prayers and support, and God bless you all!

2 Peter 1:5-7

"For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love."
