Hey, gang! As one month ends, a time of reflection begins. While the heat has been through the roof, almost literally in the case of my tiny uninsulated apartment, there was still much fun and progress to be had.

Good news! We officially have enough money to purchase a food truck! Some wonderful and generous friends from around the world have donated some funds, allowing us to finally begin the process of purchasing a vehicle! Praise God! There is still much legal work to tangle with, alongside fitting and equipping the truck itself to be fully functional as a kitchen. Please pray for continued support and guidance as we begin our food truck ministry! More details to follow as they come.

Here is a link to the food truck we wish to purchase. It's all in Japanese, just so you all know: here

Speaking of food trucks, we were able to check out a Taiwanese one at a local matsuri (祭り). A girl from YWAM Taipei, Lynn, was visiting our team for a week, and joined us at the matsuri. There, we had this interesting Taiwanese pudding/shaved ice desert, as well as this sausage hotdog thing covered in peanut shavings. Both were new to me, but very tasty! Here are some pics of our time together:

Overall, it was a wonderful time to celebrate summer, friends, and tasty new food! As a bonus, here is an awkward video of me missing a firework behind my big head. Enjoy:

"Eh? Wat waz dat?"

Finally, to cap off the month of July, me and some friends went to the beach near Matsushima yesterday! I haven't been to the beach proper for years, so this was a treat and then some! First, we did some paddle boarding around some islands, followed by an Italian lunch, afterwards hitting up the beach, and finally finishing off a wonderful day with a trip to an onsen (hot spring bath). Though the summer can feel long and way too hot, it was still wonderful to be out with friends in the beautiful Japanese coast! Especially after two long years of COVID restrictions.

Speaking of, please pray for Japan, as COVID numbers are rising rapidly once again. Pray for the leaders to make wise decisions based not on fear, but on the Lord's guidance. Pray for the boarders to not close again, especially when so many missionaries are finally able to enter the country after waiting for so long during the lockdown. Thank you all so much for your continued prayers and support for my ministry here in Japan. Take care, and love you all!

2 Corinthians 3:18

"And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit."
