The Horror in Living Clay: A Halloween Special!

Happy Halloween, everyone! For this year, I have something extra special for you all! Not only do I have a scary childhood story, but also a video to go with it! Sit back, grab a chill glass of pumpkin juice, check under your bed, and listen well to:

The Horror in Living Clay...

So, when I was very young, around six years old, my parents had an old VHS tape that my sister would watch often, but I wouldn't touch with a ten-foot pole, if I could help it. It was a "mockumentary" about the infamous "California Raisins", a band of terrifying stop-motion raisins who sing famous R&B songs. Titled "Meet the Raisins", it documented their rise to fame in a world of nightmarish sentient food people, who I assumed had rose up against their human oppressors' and consumed them all. Many times I had tried to watch this tape. And many times I would run screaming into my room, clenching my Beast doll for comfort. Here is a clip of the monstrosity:

It's the eyes. The eyes and the oddly realistic mouths that contort, stretch, and mutilate with every syllable that spills out of their disgusting maws. And being that they're made of clay, it's like they're real... And yet not. Like the undead...

Needless to say, even looking at them now, I still find them creepy and unnerving. Nostalgia is truly a double edged sword when it comes to old media. Therefore, as a form of therapy, I made a video starring the freaks, but edited to reflect a 6-year old Soren's point-of-view while watching these smooth-singing abominations. I found the most disturbing scenes of the movie that I remember frightening me the most, and now you all get to share in my suffering! Enjoy!

(Caution: This video can get very loud. Adjust volume accordingly.)

BTW: This is on my alternative YouTube channel. It's full of silly dumb videos I made as a sort of a hobby. Something to practice my editing. So expect them not to make too much sense.

Anyhow, I hope you are all staying safe, and have a most Happy Halloween! Mha ha ha!
