Some Stupendous September Stuff!

Greetings! Sorry for the very late update. It's been a crazy month-and-a-half in the life of this missionary and there's much to talk about, but I'll do my best to keep it somewhat short and comprehensible.

I've officially started my online frontier missions school! Thank you everyone for your incredible donations this past month! I'm continuously blown away by your generosity and heart for the Japanese people! It's only been one week, but it already feels like a month of content! It's good content of course, going over the history of the early church and the spread of Christianity around the world! One of our projects is to write a "promotional missions flyer" for churches, which can also be a video! If I have time this week, be sure to stay tuned to my "commercial" video on why we should do missions! If not, I'll just write up a flyer for you all to see too. As they say, "Art is a compromise between vision and reality." -Unknown (Or rather some guy on YouTube I found).

Some of you have asked me when I plan to visit the US. The guidelines for YWAM Sendai is for our missionaries to be on the missions field for two years, and then return to their home country for two months visiting family, raising support and awareness, resting, contacting churches, etc. With my two year anniversary coming up this January, I originally planned to visit the US this Fall way back in February. Things being the way that they are, with the pandemic afoot and the closing of the Japanese borders, I needed to replan my visit.

However, there is good news! Japan has started to let back in foreign residents, who've been stuck since the pandemic! So that means our teammate Chrissy, who's been in the USA since March, can finally return to Sendai! But with the uncertainty of an official COVID-19 vaccine being released to the public, and with predictions of a 2nd or even 3rd wave outbreak in the later Fall and Winter, I believe it's too soon to make plans on future visits yet. A worst case scenario would be to leave Japan for the States, the outbreak gets worse in either or both countries, and then I'm stuck in the US for an unknown period of time. Please be praying that the virus will be suppressed or destroyed in God's timing, allowing travel to other countries without any fear or setbacks. I so desire to see you all, but it may take a little more time. I pray that all of you will stay safe and secure during this dark yet hopeful time. Put your trust and faith in He Who Is Mighty to Save!

Once again, I cannot thank you all enough for all of your prayers and support for my ministry in Japan. If there's anything I can pray for, please let me know! I'd love to hear from you!

2 Corinthians 13:14: "May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all."

(As a bonus treat, here's me being a complete doof singing "Heads, Shoulders, Knees, Toes" to a mom's group at a missions center. My embarrassment is your enjoyment. You're welcome.)

(UPDATE: I actually don't know if the video is okay to show to the public, considering it has children in it, so I'll ask for permission from the center, and see if I can publish it there! I apologize for the confusion and inconvenience. Therefore, here's a pic of me and Faith at the center instead!)
