Frontier Missions School for this Missionary!

Greetings, my beloved ones. It's been a while since I last wrote to you all. The heat has been in the 30's C (90's F) for the past few weeks, which I'm not the biggest fan of, but with the miracle that is in-home air conditioning, I think I'm a-gonna survive this heat wave till Fall! Funny enough, it's surprisingly cheap to run it too. Maybe it's because I live in a small apartment? Huh.

A few months back, I wrote how limited I felt with the virus going about, unable to go out and do regular ministry. However, the Lord has been good to us, giving us opportunities such as the road trips in July, worship in the park (while wearing masks), and even some local churches opening up again! But now, a brand new opportunity just opened up, one which will enrich our little base and, Lord willing, lead to even more fruitful ministering to the Japanese here in the Tohoku region!

As I've said in the past, Japan is an unreached nation, with less than 1% Christian and fewer churches to host them. On the surface, it seems pretty bleak, but with God, all things are possible! And one of His ways is a special school within YWAM's University of the Nations program: Frontier Missions! This is an education program dedicated specifically in learning how to minister to the most unreached nations in the world, from the arid Middle East countries to the innermost jungles in South America. The focus is not on one particular nation, but more of an overview of how to share the Gospel to those who've never even heard of Christ, covering mission history, church planting, ministry strategies, team-building, etc.

Normally, one wanting to attend this school would have to actually go in person to one of many YWAM bases running said program, which could range anywhere in the world, but in this current pandemic, attending said school is completely out of the question. However, thanks to the Lord's provision, a base in the Netherlands, YWAM Heidebeek, is doing a Frontier School completely online! It includes all the same material covered in a regular session, but adapted for online use, so anyone across the world, on the mission field or not, can receive the training! To learn more about YWAM Heidebeek and the Frontier Missions Online School, here is a link:

The school is seven months long, with a mix of intensive and application sessions, meaning some weeks will be lectures while others are self study and research. After much prayer, a few of my teammates and I have decided to apply to this school, with the hope we gain new knowledge and experience on how to effectively reach the unreached people of Japan. One of our goals as a base is to eventually open our own school dedicated in teaching how to minister to the Japanese. This school is a big step forward to accomplishing said goal!

While the online school is cheaper than the usual program, it will be around $510. But the Lord has provided for me greatly, allowing me to afford the tuition cost! It's a lot of money, but the information from this is beyond price, and I cannot wait to start this coming September! Please pray that my mind and heart will be prepared for the next seven months to receive what the Lord desires me and my teammates to learn.

Thank you everyone so much for all of your prayers and support, and have yourselves a most wonderful day!

Psalm 143:10 "Teach me to do your will, for you are my God; may your good Spirit lead me on level ground."
