Agree to Thirty Three...

Hello to all you wonderful people out in the world! June is almost over, the humidity is high, and I'm one year older than the last! But before that, a few updates:

Kitchen Car Ministry: Janet is back from Taiwan and is spearheading our new project! She and Naoko met with some legal advisors to learn the basics of starting a small business in Sendai. Apparently, we need to purchase kitchen car first before we apply for a business license, but we're still learning about all the small details. I'll inform you all as things progress. Please pray for clarity, wisdom, and favor as we set up our kitchen car ministry!

Better get this out of the way: I've just turned 33 years old, making this the fourth birthday in Japan! As I get older and older, the excitement of reaching a new age isn't quite the same when I was a kid. Not to say the team and I didn't still have fun! We had a party a few weeks ago, in which I bought three large Dominos pizzas (no corn) to share. Miranda baked a killer cheesecake that could very well kill a man, considering it's richness and tastiness. Little Kai was bouncing off the walls, like a hydrogen atom; his extrovert energy at maximum level. Later on, we all played some JackBox games, which are TV party games you can play on your phone. Overall, a wonderful conclusion to my 32nd year, and I look forward to 33 more years in Japan!

Speaking of birthdays, I got a little something special in the mail from my Mom and Grandma! Thank you both so much for the wonderful gifts! Nothing brightens up a room like art created by a loved one!

But the fun didn't stop there! The very next day, the team and I went to Tagajo, a small town to the north of Sendai, to see a 1300 year old castle ground and attend the annual Iris flower festival! Here are some of the highlights below:

After the slog of COVID for two years, it's encouraging to see people out and about, enjoying nature and having fun with their families. Truly, a breath of fresh air!

Thank you all so much for your continued support and prayers! Please pray for my Japanese learning, so that I may make more connections with the locals as I share the Good News. And that this kitchen truck will not only feed tasty food for the folks of Sendai, but also feed their souls with the hope that only Christ can bring. Thank you all once again, and have a most wonderful day!
