Well, my friends... The time has come to finally begin my great journey and missionary career to Japan. Currently, I'm staying at my Grandmother's house in San Diego til the 13th, where I'll fly across the Pacific to Tokyo, and then a (very) quick train ride up to my new home in Sendai. I won't lie and say that I haven't felt sad or hesitant about leaving, but I know that God is in control of all and that He'll see me through all of the adventures, through the thick and thin. I pray that Mom, Dad, Sis and all the others I've left behind back in Portland will place themselves in God's powerful, loving, and guiding hands, and depend on Him for their hope and destinies. Thank you all for your continued prayers and support, and I love you all!
Proverbs 3: 5-6
Trust the Lord your God with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways, submit to Him,
and He will make your paths straight.
