Greetings, everyone! Sorry for the late update. The air is getting cooler, the leaves are beginning to turn, and a new season is starting for us here in Sendai.

Samuel (a new staff member!), myself, and Misako!
Samuel (a new staff member!), myself, and Misako!

We’re excited to share that Misako is now officially a full-time staff member with YWAM Sendai! After DTS, our wedding, and her studies in animation at Anacom, she wasn’t sure what direction to take whether to work, create independently, or something else. But after our time in film school, she felt God’s call to join the staff team as an animator and media designer.

Together, we’re now part of YWAM Sendai’s media team: managing social media, creating content and promotional material, and developing animations and graphics to share the gospel. We’re so thankful to be entering this season as a husband-and-wife team!

On the practical side, we’ve been diving into Blender, a free 3D modeling and animation program. With the help of tutorials, we’ve been learning step by step (starting with 3D doughnuts!). Misako has already made some of her own creations, and we hope to use these skills as another tool in our ministry toolbox.

Since we are now both serving as full-time missionaries, we are completely dependent on the generosity of supporters like you. Thank you for standing with us; some of you for more than six years! With rising costs here in Japan, our monthly support has been stretched thin. If we could raise about $700 more per month, our needs would be fully covered.

If you would like to be part of this media and animation ministry, please consider joining our support team with a small monthly gift. Every bit truly makes a difference.

Prayer Requests:

  1. For Misako and me as we grow and create in this new season of ministry

  2. For new financial partners to join our team

  3. For my nephew Rei, who is still in the hospital as he recovers from a lingering cold—please pray he can return home soon

Thank you again for your prayers, encouragement, and support. We couldn’t do this without you. May God bless you all!

Matthew 5:14-16

“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven."
