Merry (Post) Christmas and a Happy (Late) New Year! Misako and I are grateful for the blessings we've received, including the support from family, friends, and donors that allows us to be in Japan. Thank you all!

The DTS Lecture phase has concluded, and the outreach phase has begun! Our students are heading to the Philippines for a month of local ministry, including sports, music, and children's church. Please pray for them as they share their testimonies. I won't be joining this year, so please also pray for our outreach leaders, Joshua and Wendy, as they lead the DTS students in a foreign land.

This Christmas was quiet and somewhat melancholic due to family circumstances. Rei is undergoing steroids and chemotherapy, which will cause him to feel unwell and lose his hair. We hope for his early release from the hospital, ideally by June, but some leukemia patients may stay longer. Please pray for him.

On a lighter note, here is a video I made for both of my nephews, Kai and Rei, for their Christmas present! I think it captures the silly violence that little boys enjoy in their entertainment! Have fun!

A heartfelt thank you to those who have contributed to my film school tuition! Your support means the world to me as I pursue my dream of becoming a film director for ministry. If anyone else would like to contribute, please click the link below. Thank you!

I have my first pre-assignment for the YWAM Film School, starting July 2nd, which requires watching 100 pre-selected films spanning 100 years of cinema. While some films on the list aren't my favorites, I'm excited to explore various storytelling styles throughout the ages of filmmaking. I can't wait to start school!

Misako is applying to a YWAM-affiliated animation school in Tokyo this February. She is passionate about animation for ministry and has been seeking opportunities to enhance her skills for a while now. We found this school through one of our DTS Japanese translators. An anonymous doner has graciously given us enough to cover her entire two-month tuition, but she will have to go alone. Please pray for God's timing in this, as we both aim to improve our skills this year. Stay tuned for updates on her application!

I hope your holidays were enjoyable and filled with family and friends! 2024 was a dramatic and challenging year for us, marked by marriage, farewells, travels, sickness, and inspiration for filmmaking. Thank you for your continued prayers and support over the past six years! May God bless you in 2025!
