Greetings, one and all!

Thank you so much for your kind messages and generous support last month regarding our upcoming little one. The baby is doing very well! The doctor says our child is healthy and full of energy! We’ve even started feeling little kicks and punches from inside Misako’s belly.

The other day, during YWAM Sendai’s weekly worship time, our little one was moving around and kicking up a storm, almost like dancing for the Lord! I have yet to fully experience what parenting will be like, but both Misako and I deeply desire to raise this child in the wisdom and strength of the Lord, and to love them with all our hearts. Thank you again for your prayers, support, and generosity! Our hearts are full of gratitude.

Remembering My Mom

Last month, my sister hosted a private memorial for my mom, which I was able to join via livestream. It was a special time for our family to laugh, cry, and remember the wonderful woman of God she was: Suzanne Lynn Haidri.

In honor of her memory, I created a short video to capture her joyful, energetic, courageous, and loving spirit. I first shared it with my family during the memorial, and now I’d like to share it with all of you:

I miss her every day, but as I’ve shared before, I’m thankful her suffering is over and that she is now with Jesus. I only wish she could have met her grandchild in person.

YWAM Sendai DTS Update

Please continue to pray for YWAM Sendai’s upcoming Discipleship Training School this fall. We already have over eight students signed up, which is exciting! Right now, we’re looking for accommodations and meeting spaces for lectures and community time.

In previous years, we were able to use a nearby seminary, which graciously provided dorms and a lecture hall. Unfortunately, they’ll be using their facilities for their own programs this September, so we’re trusting God to provide a new place.

Please also pray for the incoming students that they would be prepared not only for the challenges of living in a new culture and school environment, but also for the deeper journey of surrendering to the Lord and allowing Him to transform them from the inside out.

Thank You

As I’ve said before, but can never say enough, thank you all so much for your prayers and support. May the Lord bless you, and we hope you have a wonderful rest of your spring!

Romans 15:13

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
